June 26, 2015 almost six years ago the United States Supreme Court in Obergefell v. Hodges made same sex marriage legal nationwide.  At the time those of us opposed to same sex marriage warned that the decision would be the beginning of the slippery slope to all sorts of moral debauchery, including polygamy.  At the time of course we were all shamed into silence for such outrageous claims. 

Well, it took less than six years to see the warning come true. This week the city of Cambridge Massachusetts, approved an ordinance, amending an existing rule that says a domestic partnership is defined with only one partner.  

With the new stature, the city now defines a domestic partnership as an “entity formed by two or more” unrelated individuals.  The arrangement will have to file a registration declaring that the individuals in the said partnership are “In a relationship of mutual support, caring and commitment” and intend to stay in such relationship, are not engaged in another domestic partnership and regard themselves as a family.

The usual suspects in promoting this have been joined by the newly formed, Polyamory Legal Advocacy Coalition (PLAC).  The ordinance according to the PLAC is the first of what advocates hope will be a wave of legal recognition for polyamorous families and relationships in 2021. The PLAC joins the Chosen Family Law Center, the Harvard Law School LGBTQ+ Advocacy Clinic, and members of the American Psychological Association’s Committee on Consensual Non-Monogamy. The coalition pushes for legal recognition for polyamorous partnerships and other types of non-nuclear families.”

The coalition cleverly uses the term “Non-nuclear families” to cover the sexuality component as if it is non-existent.  Non-nuclear families include step-families, open adoption families, multi-generational families, multi parent families, and now polyamorous families.  By using the term family, advocates have disguised the true meaning of marriage as a commitment and bond between one man and one woman for life.  All kinds of groups can be labeled families  and have significant impact on children, but human sexuality confined to marriage is the one truth that cannot be dismissed if a society is to remain intact.

This will spread across the country rapidly. It will be in your community soon.  It is the continuation of the destruction of the God designed model for men and women, marriage and family.  There is no end to this. Any combination of loving individuals can be a domestic partnership. The level of perversion is limitless.

As with all the radical ideas for human sexuality.  What is the end game? The justification of sexual immorality and perversion.  Countless efforts at justification can never overcome the power of the conscience to know right and wrong exists. Removing God does not lead to freedom as the coalition for polyamorous families and relationships desires.   In truth, it leads to the collapse of society and culture and ultimately barbarism.
