The worldview of the people in the positions of power and learning currently believe that there are no absolutes that one can use to determine truth. Never mind their position is itself an absolute they proceed to make decisions that affect our world and freedoms every day.
The way this worldview expands and perpetuates is to lie. Lying is an acceptable practice. If truth cannot ultimately be known or is only determined by the individual themselves lying may be used to obtain a given objective because simply, the lie is not a lie if the liar chooses to believe it is his or her truth. It justifies the lie as a means of behavior.
It has taken over 100 years for this worldview to entrench itself in the education and political systems of America. The last thirty years has seen the establishment of this worldview as the predominant way of thinking across all of American society. Media has come of age also in the last 40 years. It is directed and controlled by the graduates of the educational system. It serves in unison as the public relations firm for the worldview, most often with blind allegiance and occasionally with purpose to advance the mission.
The 55 and above generations by and large still hold to the view that there are truths, values, and ideas that are universal and are needed to determine behaviors that benefit all of society. For them lying is not an acceptable practice to use in order to gain advantage, to use to deceive a spouse when cheating, or to aid in covering harm done to another person. The younger generations living under the constant barrage of self actualization accepts lying as one of the pieces in the game. Gaining advantage and controlling my own destiny is all that matters so if I need to lie it is acceptable because my happiness or benefit is the highest calling; and in my mind…truth.
A current example of this folly is Benghazi. Lying is an art form. Without any semblance of guilt, shame, or remorse lies are formulated on the run to confuse and control thinking for a desired outcome. In this case the desire for and maintenance of power. If people lose their careers, are injured, or even die in the end it doesn’t matter. The lie is acceptable because my truth is as legitimate as the next guys and I will lie as long as it takes to either win or lose trying. Lying is not the issue…only my desires.
The elimination of some type of absolutes is witnessed in the acceleration of anger and violence as each person attempts to live out his or her own truth. Fearing death, groups will form to provide protection from individuals or other groups. The ones with the most power will control…for a while until another group rises to power…for a while until mass chaos reigns. For the last 100 years it has not been a vast conspiracy, it has not been a segment of human evolution, it is evil. For evil to triumph good must be eliminated. You cannot create evil…evil is the absence of good. So, in order for evil to exist there must be good. The last 100 years evil has been intentionally, aggressively, and relentlessly attempting to eliminate good. It’s all about the lies.
Good and truth will never be eliminated…never. “I am the way, the truth, and the life”…There will never be enough evil to remove that truth. Hold on to that hope.
